The Electoral Commission led by its chairperson Mrs Jean Mensah has in its report to parliament stated that they would be buying one removable 32GB SD card for $336(GHC1948.80).
The commission presented to parliament a list of items that would be needed to help in compiling the new voters’ register before the 2020 Elections.
The meeting, documents and discussions which was supposed to be kept private, however, found its way out of the meeting room.
Also, audio which was obtained from the meeting is already in the hands of some media houses.
Some list of items on the leaked document included special registration forms, thumbprints pads, Stationary, printers, SD cards etc.
One item on the list that got our attention is the 32GB SD card and the price that the commission will pay for it.
According to the EC’s document, they would be buying one for $336 which when converted into Ghana cedis is 1948.80 and they would be buying a total number of 75,000.

After sighting this, we went out to check the price of a 32GB SD card and found out that the price is just GHC 70.
