Greece has been revealed to rank atop the list of the world’s most s£xually active nations, averaging 164 sessions a year, or more than three times a week, German newspaper Bild reports.
According to an international survey by a condom manufacturer, which is published by the German tabloid, Greeks are far ahead of Brazil, which ranks second with 145 times a year, followed by Russia and Poland with 143 times a year.
The chilliest citizens on the planet are found to be the Japanese, who have s£x a meager 48 times a year, or less than once a week.
The world average is 103 times per year, or just less than twice a week.
According to the survey, having s£x isn’t of the same importance all around the world, as 80 percent of Greeks find having s£x very important, and top the list again, opposed to citizens of Thailand, only 38 percent of whom believe that s£x is important.
Greeks also score high in reference to duration of s£xual intercourse, ranking second with 22.3 minutes on average, following Nigeria in first place with 24 minutes.
The top 10 most s£xually active countries are:
Greece: 164
This country has a long tradition of partaking in s£xual activities, and this dates back to the ancient times. After all, these are the guys who made popular the concept of pederasty and Sapphic love. With its temperate Mediterranean weather, beaches and tons of islands, it’s no wonder why Greece is ranked first as the most s£xually active country in the world.
Brazil: 145
Considering how this is the birthplace of the thong, it makes sense that s£x is as essential as breathing in Brazil. Stroll along any beach and you would certainly find many gorgeous women sunbathing by the shore of perhaps even taking a dip in the ocean. It’s no secret that people here have amazing bods and they should totally flaunt it if they’ve got it. 😉
Russia: 143
80% of Russian adults have s£x at least once a week and Igor S. Kon mentioned in the International Encyclopedia of S£xuality how s£xual satisfaction and general satisfaction with marriage itself is closely interrelated. “Practically all couples maximally satisfied with their marriages believed they were s£xually compatible, while only 63 percent were s£xually compatible among the maritally dissatisfied,” Igor stated.
Poland: 143
For a fairly conservative culture, Poland has earned a steamy reputation as one of the most s£xually active countries out there. In fact, Poland has an annual Eroticon festival that showcases the latest and greatest s£x toys and mechanisms in the adult industry.
India: 130
Mexico: 123
In May of 2008, Mexico City’s government distributed 700,000 copies of s£x-ed textbooks to deliver to the city’s student population, well aware that the kids would be doing the horizontal tango one way or another. They also place 2nd in a ranking of most s£xually satisfied countries in the world.
Switzerland: 123
Sure, they’re politically neutral, but the Swiss definitely have a set opinion about s£x. Psst, that opinion roughly translates to: “Gimme more.” Apart from their regular bedroom feats, prostitution is also legal in this country. Yep, that’s right.
China: 122
New Zealand: 122
Italy: 121
Many Italians live la dolce vita with s£x high on their list of things to do on a daily basis. A poll found that 32% of Italians over the age of 60 still have s£x regularly. It’s unclear if this means that seniors are schtupping around the clock or once a week. However, one thing’s clear; their frequency in the sack helped give this country a spot on our list of top 10 most s£xually active countries.
It’s no secret that European countries are the more s£xually active countries in the world but did you know that Malaysia is also within the list?
Malaysia
In general, our country definitely appears conservative. For example, there was a recent controversy over whether s£x education should be taught in high school or not. However, behind closed doors (pun totally intended) lies the real story: Malaysians are swinging from the bedposts, and loving every minute of it.
In fact, 74% of Malaysians reportedly have s£x at least once a week. Interestingly though, Malaysians still have a pretty shallow knowledge about s£x as proven by this survey by Durex.
Spain
Recently, it’s been reported that Spanish men have turned to our modern-day Spanish fly, Viagra, to please their ladies longer — even if they are fully capable of the act without the pill. Of course, this little enhancement makes sure they meet their own expectations as well, proving that this is definitely one of the most s£xually active countries around.
Based on a Durex survey, Malaysia ranks within the top 10 most s£xually satisfied countries in the world. S£xual satisfaction is defined by being free from stress, having the ability to orgasm, being free from s£xual dysfunction and the frequency of enjoying s£x and foreplay.
