Nigerian singer, Simi has given a warning to those who address her with “Dear or Ma”. According to her, she does not know what to do with people like that.
The Duduke crooner said that she does not want such words to be used for her anymore.
“I don’t know what to do about people that call me “dear” or “ma”. Let it end pls.”, Simi wrote.

A Twitter user identified as Taiwo Tolulope Oladiran took to the comment section of Simi’s tweet to explain that some people show respect to her by the use of ‘ma’.
According to him, people can take Simi’s humility for arrogance if she does not clearly define what she means.
