The comeback of Mahama as Ghana president would be a mistake

The wife of vice-president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Samira Bawumia has asked Ghanaians not to vote for the former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the 2nd lady of the land, a vote for Mahama and the NDC would be the biggest mistake in the life of Ghanaians because they have nothing new to offer the country.

She made this statement when she was addressing NPP supporters in the Ashanti Region capital, Kumasi where she graced an event to inaugurate the party’s Women’s Wing Campaign Committee, Samira opined that what Ghana needs now is leader with vision.

“This election is not about an individual, it is about our nation Ghana. It is not for you and me alone, it is about the future of Ghana. For the good job His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and my own Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the kind of work they have done and served Ghana, we have to consolidate our gains,” Mrs. Bawumia said in Twi.

After her comments, some section of Ghanaians bashed her for making such a comment when some other Ghanaians are suffering under the leadership of President Nana Akuffo Addo and her husband the vice president.

Jabir Mohammed Dreamchaser: “I respect her she is a woman I see her has a mum but from outside view I believe Samira herself knows very well that NDC have done more in development in Ghana than her husband and his president regime and Ghanaians knows that very well is just that when we attached to a party we don’t wanna leave it we don’t look at what is best for us. Both Mahama and nana are already rich so what about you. Think about Yr future don’t follow politics for nothing”

Rashid Abdul-Rahaman: “We cannot also afford your husband who has negative credibility and integrity as our veep come January 7,2021.”
