Before Ted Knight was discovered, he was slated to portray Ted Baxter in the first season of Mary Tyler Moore (1970). He initially went on stage to try out for the part of Doug Williams in DAYS.
John Aniston has two marriages. Jennifer is a descendant from his first marriage to Nancy Dow. He has a son named Alexander from a previous marriage to Sherry Rooney Aniston. He is a native Spanish and Greek speaker. In November 1975, he was featured on the debut cover of Soap Opera Digest.
