An unidentified 14-year-old girl in Delta has been arrested by the police in the state for allegedly stabbing a man believed to be her father to death in the Cable Point area of the Asaba, the state capital.
According to a report by Sunday Punch, trouble erupted on Thursday evening when the man disciplined her for an offence she committed before he went to sleep.

It was gathered that the girl, who was unhappy with the development, waited until he was asleep before stabbing him to death with a knife.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident, bemoaned the crime rate in the state, especially among youths.
Aniamaka said:
“I don’t have information if the deceased is the girl’s father. But all we know for now is that he was related to her. Imagine a small girl stabbing her relative to death. The other day, it was killing of a Delta State University student. Where are we heading to?’’
He also appealed to parents to continue monitoring their children, advising ladies to be wary of the men they date.
