It’s been a busy few days when it comes to updates on Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
For months upon months, Hazard has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid.
However on Saturday those rumours were consigned to the trash by Belgium news
outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, who confirmed that Hazard isn’t for sale. Indeed, according
to HLN, if Chelsea received 100 million euros for Hazard this summer, such an offer would
still be rejected.
Yet it appears that memo never reached Spanish paper Marca, who have splashed their front page on Sunday with another Hazard story.
What’s going on?
The headline claim in Marca is that Zinedine Zidane is determined to sign Hazard this summer.
It’s believed that Los Blancos are
encouraged about the likelihood of the deal coming to pass, while it’s claimed Antonio
Conte is prepared to sanction the deal is he acquires Colombian playmaker James
Rodriguez as part of the deal.
Within this context, it’s worth noting that the Guardian recently claimed that Los Blancos have reached out to Hazard’s camp.
