Barcelona could risk an automatic 3-0 defeat in Sunday’s El Clasico by fielded one of their suspended players.
Neymar was sent off for two yellow cards in Barca’s recent 2-0 defeat at Malaga.
Barcelona have appealled the ban, which lasts three matches, and purposefully send their appeal in to the CAD late in an attempt to get Neymar’s sentence suspended a week.
As things stand, the player is still officially suspended for the fixture.
“Wait and see”
Although they did not field Neymar in last weekend’s 3-2 win over Real Sociedad, they might be willing to take the risk at the Bernabeu.
When asked if he would be prepared to field Neymar Jr, manager Luis Enrique said: “You will have to wait for the match to see.”
A win for Barcelona would see them move level on points with league leaders Madrid, although Zinedine Zidane’s side have a game in hand.
