Cristiano Ronaldo has broken yet another incredible record this evening against Celta Vigo, becoming the all-time top scorer in Europe’s top five leagues.
The Portuguese star scored within 10 minutes of kick-off and his goal brought more weight than just the La Liga title race.
Not only did it put Real Madrid well and truly in the driving seat for La Liga, Ronaldo’s record-breaking goal goes a long way to his Balon D’or hopes.
Jimmy Greaves held the record for the most goals in the top five leagues with 366 before Cristiano’s strike against Celta.
Ronaldo now resides on 367 goals, with much more of his career at the top level left to go.

Title race
That goal from Ronaldo could be the goal that all but seals the La Liga title in Real’s favour.
Now level on points with Barcelona, Los Blancos still have one game in hand which could prove pivotal.
It would be only fitting if it was their star man to break records and give them the all important goal.
