Antoine Griezmann has admitted there is one team that could tempt the striker to leave Atletico Madrid this summer.
The France international has been linked with a big-money move in the summer throughout the 2016-17 season given his
eye-catching performances for los
Rojiblancos.
Manchester United were thought to be leading the race to sign the 26-year-old centre-forward as Jose Mourinho looks to
improve his attacking options at Old Trafford.
Premier League champions Chelsea and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger are also
thought to have retained an interest in the France star ahead
of the summer transfer window.
Griezmann, for the most part, has remained tight-lipped about his future plans to keep Manchester United supporters on edge.
However, the France star has revealed that there is one team that could tempt him to
leave Atletico Madrid – but it’s not a football club.
Asked during a radio interview about whether there is a club that could tempt him to leave Atletico, Griezmann opened up
about his love of NBA franchise New York Knicks.
“I would only leave Atleti to play with Derrick Rose,” Griezmann is quoted as saying by the
Daily Mail .
Griezmann would be relatively small for a basketball player, standing at 5ft 9ins,
although Boston Celtic guard Isaiah Thomas has shone in the NBA playoffs despite being
the same height as the Atletico star.
