La Liga bosses have reportedly refused to
accept the payment of Neymar’s release
clause by PSG.
The French giants are set to secure a world-
record deal for the Brazilian, worth a
staggering £199million (€222m).
PSG were told by La Liga president Javier
Tebas earlier this week that they would not
accept the release clause – and warned a
complaint would be filed to UEFA over an
apparent FFP breach.
Representatives of Neymar and PSG arrived
at the La Liga offices in Madrid on Thursday,
planning to deposit the fee to activate the
release clause, reports AS.
But it is reported that the money has not
been accepted, deeming it impossible that
PSG could possibly be complying by FFP
regulations.
