Nigerian governors
including governors elected on the platform
of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leave
Nigeria on Tuesday night to visit President
Muhammadu Buhari in London.
It was gathered that the visit of the six
governors to Buhari was being organised
by the office of the National Security Adviser,
Major General Babagana Munguno (rtd.).
Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the
president on media and publicity, had said
the meeting will hold by 3pm in London on
Wednesday, adding that Abdulaziz Yari,
governor of Zamfara state, led the
delegation to the UK.
Listed among the six governors are; Udom
Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Dave Umahi
(Ebonyi), Umar Ganduje (Kano), Abiola
Ajimobi (Oyo), Kashim Shettima (Borno),
Samuel Ortom (Benue),
Photos have emerged online showing the
governors selected from the Nigerian
Governors Forum having a meeting with the
President in London. Another photo also
shows the president’s wife, Aisha, beside
her husband.
