2. Carbs are bad for you
For years, carbs have been blamed for health issues and weight gain problems. However, the reality of it all is that carbs are the essential source of energy for our body. Without them, your body will start breaking down proteins in the muscles to derive glycogen. Less carbs also means less amount of fibre in the body which can lead to digestive problems and constipation.
3. Eating fats can make you fat
According to a majority of people, fat-free diet or low fat diet is the essential route to weight loss. However, it is a myth that has been twisted and has its own faults. Consuming lesser fat products is helpful, but to lead a healthy lifestyle, one must have fat in their diet. For instance, healthy monosaturated fats are important as they help in absorbing vital nutrients such as carotenoids.
4. Eggs increase your cholesterol
Eggs surely contain cholesterol, however, there has been no links so far connecting eggs with high blood cholesterol or cardiovascular disease in healthy individuals. Therefore, eating foods high in cholesterol doesn’t raise cholesterol for most people. Instead, eggs actually help in providing other nutrient to the body and also helps reduce weight.
5. Gluten-free products will help you lose weight
Well, if you’re one of those who believe that gluten-free products will help you lose weight, then think again. If you have celiac disease or a sensitivity to gluten then eating gluten free products is essential. However, if you’re eating it because you think it will fasten your weight loss process, then it’s completely wrong, as there is simply no evidence of such health benefit.
