Reno Omokri, a Nigerian political commentator and researcher, took to his official Instagram account to show off a newspaper from the year 2000, which indicated when President Muhammadu Buhari threatened self-determination.
The headline on the newspaper reads: “Break-up imminent? Northern leaders threaten Nigeria. Let us part in peace”.
Besides, the picture of president Muhammadu Buhari was clearly attached to the surface of the newspaper.

Reno Omokri said the president Muhammadu Buhari who is now persecuting Sunday Igboho once threatened self determination which is another word for “secession” of the North.
Reno Omokri said that former president Olusegun Obasanjo was the one ruling Nigeria then.
Besides, Reno Omokri said that DSS did not invade his house when he threatened self determination and he was not arrested.
Reno Omokri said:
“Even the Buhari that is now persecuting Sunday Igboho once threatened self determination of the North while Obasanjo was the president. He was not arrested, DSS did not invade his house.”
