Police in Zimbabwe allegedly disrupted a church service in the southern African country for disobeying directives on the containment of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A viral video circulating online shows officers flogging and beating persons as they emerge from what appears to be a Church entrance.
One of the measures recommended for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 is the practice of social distancing, and if there’s really need for a public or private gathering, then it shouldn’t exceed more than 50 people.
It does appear the Church defaulted, however, critics question the method of enforcing the law.
