The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has revealed that state governments have exempted filling stations and fuel trucks from the partial nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
This was revealed in a series of tweets on Saturday by the NNPC Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, who also used the medium to urge customers not to engage in panic buying for the time being.
Kyari in the series of tweets he captioned ‘Fuel supply during coronavirus lockdown,’ said the NNPC had enough stock and would maintain supply of petroleum products in the country.
He wrote thus on Twitter; “States have all consented to allow movement of fuel trucks and operation of stations during any sit-at- home action.
“Our stock and supply plans are robust and there is no need to buy more than you require. We will keep you supplied.”
