Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, acting managing director of the NDDC, today disclosed that the Commission under his stewardship, paid N641 million to one Clear Point communication, to help employ persons to help identify projects being executed by the commission in the region.

When asked to explain what the money was paid for and if it was budgeted for, Pondei said

”The money was paid to Clear Point Communications for a variety of purposes all related to the Forensic audit. There are 185 local government areas and each of them was budgetted for N3.46 million. One, allowances for coordinators per local government areas, training for the coordinators, setting up of information desks for the coordinators. These coordinators are the people to identify the sites of all the projects in the NDDC area.”

When asked if what he meant was that he contracted Clear Point to help identify the projects in NDDC areas, Pondei said

They will get local people in the local government areas to identify these sites where NDDC projects are because when they go for inspections, people are not able to locate these projects and so we needed local people who would guide”
He said those who were employed would also be trained as ”Pointers for Projects”.

”Clear Point has been a consultant in the NDDC before I even came in. They are putting help desk, communication desks in all the places to locate the projects” he said

He however could not account for N536 million paid to a company to run a campaign tagged “Save Life campaign”. Pondei appeared shocked as he could not even recall he approved the project.

Very sad and bad. Just to give npower permanent job is a problem in Nigeria. People are busy stealing money made for every citizen. Nigeria when shall you be okay with God fearing citizens called leaders? The worst is that they will come out boldly to tell us that they can’t employ. God is watching us oooo

Nigeria can be referred to as the country where citizens pays reguler inflated taxes but pay for water, school fees, hospital bills and poor electricity supply with their net income that is not even enough to feed their families. What do we get in return of our taxes we pay regularly?, (i) bad roads (ii) no drugs in our hospitals (iii)poor educational facilities (iv)no free water, we buy water for ourselves (v) no recreational facilities in our local communities etc. All they do with our taxes paid is looting and laundering our money overseas and they are very confident to be telling us the millions, billions and trillions they have looted. God will judge our politicians one day.

I always like to tell whoever care to listen that Nigeria has enough money to make everybody millionaire. This country has been highly Blessed by God but this blessing is stolen by very few individuals. Nigeria would have been very close to America in resources but sadly, we have too many cruel & heartless robbers. Look at America, Thrump paid $1000 & $1300 equivalent of about#400000 to each & every American. Nigeria has money to pay #1m each to each & every Nigerian but politicians steal them. God who loves this country so much will vent His anger on all those who bring innocent Nigerians to penury. This is why soldiers take over government by coup but we don’t pray for such. They should be careful of what they do. Worst however, many of those being short changed, being cheated & punished will come & hail/worship these thieves. During elections, they will fight, injure & kill one another for these thieves. It shall never be well with all those who bring this country to this miserable state.

Plzz nobody should blame those in authority, because the position they are occupying is like a sea they found their selves swimming. The money that Nigeria has is too much, that is why at the end of the day those that are in position would not know what to do but go into extravagant spending because they are in state confusion.

Nddc is for the common people in niger Delta not only those that participate in politics. Let me use this medium to thank the probe committee for the fair commitments in Nddc.
