The death of a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in an Abuja hotel has been reported.
Amaka’s partner, however, left her in the hotel shortly after the pair had been served their order.
The hotel staff reportedly probed him to know why he was leaving his partner behind and their fears were calmed after he told them that everything was okay. In fact, Amaka also confirmed to them on the intercom that she was alone and doing fine in the room.
The following day, hours after her checkout time had elapsed, and apparently, without picking up calls sent to the room, the hotel management had to force their way and what they saw was Amaka’s lifeless body.
According to the Sunnews, Amaka had accommodation issues after the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house.
Her parents reportedly sent her some money to rent an apartment before the incident happened, a source familiar with the matter told the newspaper.
We are not sure if any arrest has been made.
