This is the moment a group of armed robbers were stopped from stealing by security van driver. The hoodlums were trying to snatch a shipment of cash from his armoured car before he charged at them with the vehicle. According to reports, the armed robbers had battered their way into the G4S van in Krugersdorp, Gauteng Province, South Africa, with sledgehammers.
But as they dragged a huge bag of cash to their getaway car, CCTV footage shows the security driver charged straight for them in the van like in a scene from a Fast and the Furious movie.
The getaway Audi roared off, leaving behind the loot and two of the raiders, who only just manage to escape being knocked down.
As they dropped guns and hammers on the tarmac they had to escape on foot as they chased after their getaway car.
Then the G4S chased off the thieves’ car and returned to guard the cash.
But seconds later, the crooks drove back and opened fire on the van, forcing the driver to turn away while they scooped up the cash bag and roared off.
Police are reported to be hunting the gang.
