Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance and ex-World Bank Director,
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has reacted to comments about her appointment as a member of the South African Economic Advisory Council, EAC.
Naija News previously reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa
of South Africa had named Okonjo-Iweala as a member of his country’s economic team.
Loads of commendations have been pouring in following her
appointment including comments from former President Goodluck Jonathan, ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and many others.
Taking to her Twitter account late Sunday evening, Iweala wrote:
“I am grateful for the outpouring of love and support from Nigerians and other friends on my appointment by President @CyrilRamaphosa as a member of the South African PEAC. I appreciate Your Excellencies and all my friends and followers.”
