Speaking in an Arise TV program, the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing stated that the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu who is a British citizen has received consular assistance from Britain. It will be recalled that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) did not bring Kanu before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court on Monday to continue his trial bordering on terrorism among others.
This forced Nyako to adjourn the case till October 21, with Kanu’s absence sparking a lot of criticisms and anxieties.
